An investigation conducted by detectives of the Violent Crimes Unit led to Yasin Sanders being criminally charged for his involvement in a shooting Sanders has not been arrested and is being sought, according to Lt. Kevin Fair, a spokesman for the Atlantic City Police Department.

On Oct. 23 at 9:45 p.m,, patrol officers responded to the 400 block of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr Boulevard in reference to a ShotSpotter alert. A 25-year-old woman from Atlantic City suffered a graze wound, police said. She initially refused medical attention only to later be seen at the AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, City Division.

An investigation found that there were two handguns fired during the incident. One by Sanders and another by a juvenile. The 15-year-old boy from Bridgeton in Cumberland County already is in custody on an unrelated matter and was served his charges, Lt. Fair said.

Sanders has been charged with two counts of aggravated assault, conspiracy and weapons offenses, police said.

The juvenile was served with his charges at the Harborfields Detention Facility.
